Abstract

The hidden reserves of flora are often found in front of our eyes. One of these is the genus of oaks, which has significance not only aesthetical, ecological and industrial way, but also in human nutrition and phytotherapy. Acorns use as flour and coffee substitutes, kid delicacy and draft sap can also be consumed. Leaves use as flavoring, and the bark has an important anti-inflammatory, astringent and anti-microbial effect.
