Abstract

A projekt keretén belül két különböző típusú rendszert tanulmányoztunk: (i) N2-O2, Ar-O2 illetve Ar-O2-N2-ben keltett felülethullám mikrohullámú kisülésekre épülő utókisülési rendszereket és (ii) alacsony nyomású reaktorban Ar plazmasugár által keltett N2-O2, NO illetve N2-NO plazmákat. Vizsgáltuk a részecskék élettartamát a reaktort a kisüléssel összekötő térrészben, ennek ismerete lehetőséget nyújt a reaktorban kialakuló plazma összetételének hangolására a rendszer méreteinek a változtatásával. Az Ar plazmasugárral keltett plazmák esetén tanumányoztuk a plazmasugár és a molekuláris gázok áramának, illetve a plazmasugár összetételének hatását a részecskék sűrűségének az eloszlására a reaktorban. | Low pressure discharges and post-discharges rich in active species important for medical sterilization and surface treatment – such as N and O atoms, Ar+ ions, O2(a) metastables, UV radiating NO(A) and NO(B) molecules and Ar(4s) resonant state atoms – have been investigated by means of modeling. For this purpose we have developed two different models: a kinetic model valid for the surface-wave microwave discharge and a 3-dimensional hydrodynamic model that gives the distribution of physical quantities in a large volume reactor. The molecular kinetic schemes for different mixtures have been built up, taking into account both the gas phase as well as the surface processes. Two different type of systems have been studied: (i) post-discharge systems based on a surface-wave microwave discharge generated in N2-O2, Ar-O2 and Ar-O2-N2, respectively and (ii) N2-O2, NO and N2-NO plasmas generated in a low pressure reactor by an Ar plasma jet. In the first case the compositions of the plasmas have been determined for different discharge conditions, such as gas pressure and initial mixture composition. The lifetime of species in the connecting zone between the discharge and reactor has been determined, which gives the possibility of tuning the composition of the post-discharge with the system dimensions. In case of Ar plasma jet generated plasmas the effect of jet and molecular gas flows, as well the jet composition on the species density distributions in the reactor has been studied.
