Abstract
The study of the Crustacea fauna started in Somogy county in 1885. So far 207 taxons have been observed in different water bodies. The Crustacea fauna of Lake Balaton is wellknown, because over 100 articles have been published since 1885. Studies of the Crustacea fauna have recently been restarted in other water bodies as well, for example, in fishponds and in different water bodies of Duna-Dráva National Park.
