Abstract
The entomological investigations in Somogy county started in the second half of the 1800's. Thanks to the devoted efforts of many researchers, the following checklist gives an representation of the rich fauna of the area. According to the data available, Somogy county is considered to be a well investigated area. In Somogy county, 65% of the Silphidae, 58% of the Histeriade, and 75% of the Lamellicornia fauna of Hungary have been recorded so far.
