Abstract
The earliest coleopterological records date back to the second half of the 19 th century. In spite of the diversity of habitats in this region, systematic faunistical surveys were not carried out until the last few decades of last century (in the Barcsi Landscape Protection Area and the Duna-Dráva National Park). The majority of the data available were the result of these faunistical surveys. Based only on the available literature, 271 chrysomelid taxa and 3 seed weevil species are known from the county.
