Abstract

A „Historia Critica – Historia Litteraria. Historiográfia és irodalomtörténet Katona István (1832–1811) életművében” című pályázat célja volt feltárni a jezsuita tudós munkásságának két legfontosabb területét – historiográfia, historia litteraria – kéziratos és nyomtatásban megjelent műveinek feldolgozására alapozva. Katona történetírói életműve nagyrészt kiadott, közte a magyar történelmet feldolgozó 42 kötetes Historia Critica. A hazai történetírás e kiemelkedő és nagy hatású, ám időközben feledésbe ment műveinek feldolgozásával és elemzésével szeretnénk rámutatni a 18. században kialakult kritikai történettudományunk módszereire, továbbélésére, nemzetközi hátterére. Eredményeinket hazai és külföldi konferencia-előadások, elemző tanulmányok formájában is közöltük. A pályázati ciklus végére megtörtént a Historia Critica teljes anyagának lefényképezése, a digitalizált anyag az MTA BTK Irodalomtudományi Intézet szerveréről a www.stephanuskatona.iti.mta.hu weboldalon érhető el. Elkészült Katona István historia litteraria tárgykörben írt kéziratos műveinek átírása és kritikai kiadásra való előkészítése is. A munka szintén a megadott webhelyen elérhető a kézirat digitalizált verziójával együtt. Közzétesszük a tudós levelezés anyagát is, amelyeket a rozsnyói, kalocsai, pannonhalmi és pécsi egyházi levéltárakban találtunk meg. | The aim of our research plan was to reveal the lifework István Katona’s SJ (1732–1811), focusing on the two most important spheres – historiography and historia litteraria – of it. The object of researchment included both the printed works and that ones, which remained in manuscripts. Katona’s historiographical works are mainly edited, including the Historia Critica, which contains 42 volumes. By revealing and analizing his excellent and impressive, but meanwhile forgotten works we pointed at the methods of the critical Hungarian historiography, which had been grown up in the 18th century, and the effects on the next generations; with taking care of the international backgound. Our scholarly achievements were published in forms of papers and analyzing studies, both on internal and external fields. By the end of the project the Historia Critica was digitalized and edited in internet. This edition can be reach from the server of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences – Research Centre for Science of Arts – Institute for Hungarian Litterary History on this webpage: www.stephanuskatona.iti.mta.hu The transcription and the elaboration for critical edition of Katona’s works on the litterary history (historia litteraria) are also finished. These can be reach on the mentioned webpage with the digitalized version of the manuscripts. We edited the corpus of the scholarly correspondence which has been found in the ecclesiastical archives of Rozsnyó, Kalocsa, Panonhalma and Pécs.
