Abstract

Resumen: Chile, dentro de América Latina, es uno de los países de destino preferidos por personas que quieren encontrar un futuro mejor. Los haitianos y venezolanos son buenos ejemplos de estos nuevos grupos migratorios. Sin embargo, la migración es más un problema social y no de seguridad en Chile. El objetivo principal de este estudio es analizar las tendencias actuales y los desafíos de seguridad relacionados con la migración haitiana y venezolana en Chile, así como los escenarios futuros con un enfoque en la nueva ley migratoria. Palabras claves: migración haitiana, migración venezolana, Chile, desafíos de seguridad Abstract: Chile is one of the destination countries chosen by people who want to find a better future within Latin America. Haitians and Venezuelans are good examples of these new migration groups. However, migration is mostly a social and not a security issue in Chile. The main objective of this study is to analyze the current trends and the security challenges related to Haitian and Venezuelan migration in Chile as well as future scenarios with a focus on the new migration law.
