Abstract
Surface cooling of roof structures In many cases, the detailed examination of the building structure consequences regarding surface cooling systems to the building external structures is not undertaken during the design. However, due to the special stresses resulting from cooling, the conformity of a given structures can only be verified by building physics modelling. The short application time and the little practical experience do not yet allow the formulation of general rules of procedure, but a more detailed modelling of the topic could prevent the formation of building damage due to faulty methods of construction.
