Abstract
AUREA HOTEL, BUDAPEST, HUNGARY ARCHITECT: ÁDÁM SYLVESTER Taking a building that was overrun by the apparatus of the former communist regime and returning it to its former splendour is no mean feat. Political systems can, and do have an impact on architectural history, so starting afresh needs a considerable level of dedication. Modernization is also required to meet expected standards of luxury.
