Abstract

"A kritikai paradikmák a 18. századtól napjainkig" c. kutatási program két fontos kutatási irányban folyt. Az egyik esztétikatörténeti volt, amely a 18. századtól kezdve vizsgálta a legfontosabb kritikatörténeti paradigmákat. Különös fontosságot kapott a felvilágosodás kora, amikor a modern kritikai gondolkodás megszületik. Ezt nem csak észkritikaként lehet elgondolni, hanem ezzel termékeny összefüggésben az esztétikai kritika kibontakozásaként is. A legfontosabb, nemzetközi mércével mérhető eredmény az "Aspects of the Enlightenment: Aesthetics, Politics, and Religion" (Akadémiai, Bp., 2004.) kötet megjelentetése, amely a kutatási program keretein belül szervezett workshop összegzése. A másik irány a kortárs műkritika és múzeum-kutatás volt. | "The Critical Paradigms from the 18th century on" research project had two main branches. One of them was the intellectual history of aesthetics in which we studied the most important paradigms of criticism. We focused on the age of enlightenment, when the modern critical thinking was born. This does not only mean the critique of reason, but, though not idependently of the former, we can and did consider it as the emergence of aesthetic criticism, too. The most important, hopefully internationally acknowledged, outcome of our reserch is an English volume entitled "Aspects of the Enlgihtenment: Aesthetics, Politics, and Religion" (Akadémiai Publishing House, Budapest, 2004) which gathers the papers delivering in a workshop organised in the frame of our research project. The other branch was the research of the contemporary art cirticism and museums.
