Abstract
SCIENCE MUSEUM, TIANJIN, CHINA; ARCHITECT: BERNARD TSCHUMI Originally and possibly more aptly named the "Modern City and Industrial Exploratorium" science museum arranges spaces and exhibits in such a way as to record the industrial history of Tianjin, the present situation, and a future vision. The main exhibits are housed in conical spaces reinterpreting an ancient industrial typology that pierce the main volume of the building. Aside from scientific and technical exhibits this building also serves as a cultural centre for the city.
