Abstract

This bilingual (English, Hungarian) publication describes the revived Cam dance in Mongolia. This monastic dance used to be performed in several monasteries before the monastery destruction in 1937. After 1990 the tradition was revived and revitalized only in three monasteries. The DVD focuses on the dance of Zuun Khuree Dashchoilin Monastery, but also mentiones the dances of the two rural monasteries. The publication includes hundreds or photos, two 60 minutes movies, and short videos to illustrate the practice of the dance.
