Abstract

A kutatás a gyermekkor ún. új szociológiai szemléletmódjával vizsgálta a gyermeklét különböző aspektusait. Eszerint ha az emberiség idő-és térbeli horizontján végigtekintünk, akkor nem egy mindenhol és mindenkor érvényes univerzális gyermekkorral találkozunk, hanem egy adott kultúrában, közösségben létezővel. Ennek érvényesítésére törekedtünk a kutatásban. A gyermekkor történeti vizsgálata során dualizmus kori gyermekség-megközelítések (veszélyeztetett gyermekek, az iskolás gyermek) elemzése történt meg. Hazai viszonylatban először született ikonográfiai módszerű vizsgálat az 1950-es évek gyermekképéről. Narratív megközelítéssel az írott visszaemlékező szövegek történeti felhasználására tettünk kísérletet. Mélyinterjúk narratív elemzésével az emlékezők gyermekkorát igyekeztünk feltárni, az emlékezetkutatás történeti problémáira figyelemmel. A gyermekkor új szociológiai megközelítésére alapozva a gyermekség mint kulturálisan változó csoport vizsgálatát a pedagógiai etnográfia módszerével, a kulturális antropológia segítségével végeztük (pl. résztvevő megfigyeléssel egy szalagavató bál történéseinek elemzését és roma gyermekek életének mindennapjait). A gyermek-és ifjúkor új szemléletű kutatása további hazai és nemzetközi publikációkban is tükröződik. | The research aimed at investigating childhood by employing the new sociological approach. According to this approach of childhood the spatial and historical dimensions of mankind refer to different childhoods in different cultural contexts instead of a universally relevant, childhood. The research attempted to argue for this issue. Researching into the history of childhood covered several constructions of childhood in the Dual Monarchy (children at risk, the emergence of the school child). The research comprised a pioneer work of iconographical analysis of childhood of the 1950s. Another branch of the research attempted to use a narrative approach of analysing written recollections about school life. A narrative analysis of depth interviews attempted to reveal the childhoods of interviewed elderly people in the 1950s and 60s - these latter two historical investigations considered the historical problems of using recollections as historical sources. The emergence of the new sociology of childhood focused on children as culturally, characterised groups. We used this approach in educational ethnograpy by participation observation investigating a school leaving ceremony and cultural anthropology by participation observation in researching the everyday lives of Roma children. A further attempt on renewing research on children is reflected in several publications in Hungary and abroad.
