Abstract

A gazdasági tevékenységek földrajzi szerveződésének egyik legfontosabb eleme a koncentráció. A kutatási program a globális világgazdaság térbeli szerveződését vizsgálja, kiemelten e koncentrációs térszerveződési elemeket. A globális világpiac három meghatározó folyamata következő: a rendkívül gyors technológiai (kiemelten kommunikációs technológiai) fejlődés, a transznacionális vállalatok és a nemzetközi pénzügyi átutalások meghatározó szerepe. E kutatási program e három globális világgazdasági folyamat térbeli szerveződését elemzi. A kutatási program eredményei alapján a globális világgazdaság térbeli szerveződésének legfontosabb elemei a következőkben:  A globális gazdasági tevékenységek meghatározó térbeli eleme a koncentráció. De e koncentrációs tendenciák mellett a dekoncentrációs térbeli folyamatok is határozottan kimutathatók.  A földrajzi helyzet relatív értelmezése az elsődleges.  A globális világpiac időszakában a földrajzi helyek történelmileg kialakult hálózata mellett egyre fontosabb szerephez jutnak a térbeli áramlások.  A jelenlegi világgazdaság elsődleges elemzési egységei már nem kizárólag az országok, hanem a világvárosok és a nagyvárosok rendszere. | Many economic activities are markedly concentrated geographically. This research project has examined the concentration spatial tendencies of the global world economy. The main elements of the global market are the rapid technological progress (especially communication technologies), transnational corporations and the determining role of international financial relationships. The focus is this research is on the spatial structure of these driving forces of the globalisation process. On the basis of these research results the main elements of the spatial structure of the global world economy are the following:  The concentration of economic activity in the global world is very important, but there are deconcentration tendencies, too.  The relative interpretation of the geographical location is primary.  In the global world market the dominating role of the historical structure of geographical places has been transformed partly into the network of the spatial flows.  The present world economy has been formed not only on the basis of the national states, but on the hierarchical spatial structure of the metropolitan areas and capital cities.
