Abstract

Six species new for science, i.e. Aspicilia pseudoabbasiana, A. pseudovulcanica, A. subepiglypta, A. subgeographica, A. subgoettweigensis, and A. submamillata, are described, illustrated and compared with closely related taxa. A new name Aspicilia abbasiana (for Aspicilia volcanica) and a new combination Rimularia geumodoensis (for Aspicilia geumodoensis) are proposed. Aspicilia cf. pacifi ca, Buellia coniops, Circinaria contorta, C. leprosescens, Lichenostigma bolacinae, Phaeospora peregrina, and Rosellinula fr ustulosae are reported for the fi rst time for Korea. A preliminary key to the identifi cation of aspicilioid taxa in the Eastern Asian region is provided.
