Abstract

Jelen dolgozatban két szövegkritikai észrevételt teszek két Thukydidés-életrajz egy-egy szöveghelyével kapcsolatban. A POxy 1800 frg. 2, col. II szövegkiadásának παî[ςδ″O]λóρoυ olvasata több szempontból is kifogásolhatónak tűnik. Javaslatom, a πα[τρòς ′O]λóρoυ olvasat betűszámban is megfelelőnek látszik, ráadásul ugyanez a szókapcsolat szerepel a Markellinos-féle életrajz szövegében is. A továbbiakban az Oloros/Orolos névváltozatokkal összefüggésben részletesen elemzem a Codex Palatinus Graecus 252-ben hagyományozott Markellinos-féle életrajz 16. fejezetét. | The aim of this paper is to propose two critical notes on passages in two different biographies of Thucydides. In the transcription presented in the edition of the POxy 1800 frg. 2, col. II the reading παı[ς δ O]λoρoυ seems to be objectionable for several reasons. My conjecture, the complementation πα[τρòς ′O]λóρoυ seems adequate regarding the number of letters, moreover, the same expression also appears in the text of the biography by Marcellinus. Furthermore, I analyse in details the chapter 16 of the Marcellinus’ Life of Thucydides in the Codex Palatinus Graecus 252 in connection with the variants of the name Olorus/Orolus.
