Abstract

Graph products have found many applications in structural mechanics. These consist of configuration processing and data generation, ordering for structuring the sparse matrices and parallel computation, eigensolution and optimal analysis of regular structures. A structure is called regular if the corresponding model can be generated as the graph product of two or three subgraphs. This paper consists of three parts. The first part deals with configuration processing of the regular structures. In the second part, the combinatorial optimization involved in the optimal analysis of the regular structural models is discussed. In the third part, the eigensolution of the regular structures is considered.
