Abstract

This paper presents the developments of the DUCTROT-M computer program for determining the rotation capacity of wide-flange beams. The computer program, elaborated at ‘Politehnica’ University Timisoara, is based on the local collapse plastic mechanism, using the methodology performed by Professor Miklos Ivanyi. Two plastic mechanisms are considered: inplane and out-of-plane, based on the experimental observations. The validation of the results shows a very good correspondence between experimental and theoretical results.
