Abstract

Records of 33 hepatic taxa collected in the Kerala State of southern India, of which Heteroscyphus splendens, Lejeunea eifrigii, L. pallide-virens, Leptolejeunea balansae and Mastigolejeunea indica are new for the whole of India or at least for its continental part. Records of Bazzania pearsonii, Jubula hutchinsiae subsp. javanica, Jungermannia truncata and Plagiochila semidecurrens are new to Peninsular India, previously known from the Himalayas or Khasia Mts.
