Abstract
Alpinia ovoidocarpa H. Dong et G. J. Xu, a new record from Arunachal Pradesh, India is described and illustrated. The species has been reported from South Central and Southeast China since 1993. The present record from Arunachal Pradesh shows its extended distribution to India, too.
