Abstract
HOLIDAY HOMES ALONG THE DANUBE From the end of the 19th century until the Second World War, Budapest's agglomeration saw a boom in holiday villa-construction along the Danube which transformed the traditional rural nature of village development. What new values do these buildings represent? What lessons have they offered? How can we evaluate today the influences of this disappearing type of built heritage?
