Abstract

A pályázat keretében végzett kutatások a munkatervnek megfelelően három fő kérdésre koncentráltak: a kora újkori szenvedélyelméletek magyarországirecepciójának filológiai vizsgálata; a szenvedélyelméletek és a fikciós jellegű irodalomi művek kapcsolatának vizsgálata; a szenvedélyelméletek antropológiai jelentőségének értelmezése. Az ezen kérdések vizsgálatában elért eredményeimet hazai és nemzetközi konferenciákon ismertettem, magyar és idegen nyelvű tanulmányokban publikáltam. A szenvedélyelméletek magyarországi recepciójának vizsgálata során behatóan foglalkoztam Apáti Miklós, Apáczai Csere János, Bethlen Miklós, Pálóczi Horváth Ádám és Bárány Péter szenvedélyekre vonatkozó reflexióival. Ennek során arra derült fény, hogy a szakirodalom eddigi megállapításai sok helyen kiegészítésre vagy felülvizsgálatra szorulnak. A szenvedélyelméletek és a fikciós jellegű irodalom kapcsolatát elsősorban Zrínyi Miklós költészetében valamint Bethlen Miklós önéletírásában vizsgáltam. A szenvedélyelmélet mindkét esetben termékeny interpretációs kontextusnak bizonyult. A kora újkori szenvedélyelméletek antropológiai jelentőségének értelmezése során sikerült rámutatni, hogy a szenvedélyelmélet olyan, a szűkebb értelemben vett lélektan határain túlmutató jelentőségű tudásterület, amely a kora újkori kultúra számos fontos elemének értelmezésében nélkülözhetetlen. | The investigations into the theory of the emotions in the early modern period concentrated on three main areas: textual research of the reception of early modern theories about the emotions in Hungary in the seventeenth and the eighteenth century; the interpretation of the representation of the emotions in fictional works of the early modern period; theoretical reflections on the anthropological function of the early modern theories of the passions. In the first research area philological investigations into the works of Miklós Apáti, János Apáczai Csere, Miklós Bethlen, Ádám Pálóczi Horváth and Péter Bárány could expand and modify significantly the results of previous research and contributed to the understanding of the spread of Cartesian anthropology in early modern Hungary. Investigations into the connection of theories of the passions and fictional works brought new insights into some aspects of the works of Miklós Zrínyi and Miklós Bethlen. The results of the theoretical investigations into the early modern theories of the pasions showed that the significance of the theories of the passions can not be limited to early modern psychology: these theories are interconnected with other areas of knowledge and can therefore shad new light on such other aspects of early modern culture as the ideas about the classification of knowledge or the ideas of poetic creativity.
