Abstract

Közel hasonló mértékű emelkedés tapasztalható a kapcsolathálózati tényező jelentőségét tekintve ? mintegy megerősítve azt a kiemelt figyelmet, amelyet a jelen vizsgálódás is juttat a szóban forgó erőforrásoknak. | The twin structural parameters intersection-consolidation by Peter Blau presented themselves as lead concepts of the study. Our project introduced some shift of emphasis compared to the original framework, inasmuch the conceptual couple were highlighted not only in their role of independent variables, but in themselves. Our point of departure has made an assumption on their capacity of highlighting both the relationships of inequalities of a given society (or a more limited, e.g. territorial social entity), and the character of its group-formations. On several points, the study (with a survey covering a national and a Budapest sample as well) followed the tracks of the series of research from the second half of the eighties conducted by the present project leaders on the cultural-interactional stratification of the Hungarian society, yielding a chance for a number of temporal comparisons. As to the joint correlation of the cultural, economic, social network and political resources, the baseline findings from the eighties already exhibited a considerable intertwining of individual factors, which was only confirmed by our 2005 findings, suggesting some shift toward the end of consolidation. The simultaneous presence of stability and change is also observed with the role of individual factors. Cultural resources have kept their prominence as to the organization of various components, while material resources have caught up in the wake of the change of system. The relevance of the social network factor has also grown, confirming the distinguished attention attached by the study to the given resources.
