Abstract
TRANSYLVANIA – ARCHITECT: ÁRPÁD NAGY Architecture as a tool for attracting the younger generations back to the mountains of Transylvania might seem an extreme option. Why would anyone want to visit a building because it is made from timber? Yet the use of dynamic structural forms reflecting the inherent or at least implied danger of a falling tree can create a mountaintop restaurant that is welcoming, informative and above all a worthy destination. Youthful, yet respecting local history and identity.
