Abstract
Due to the lack of natural stone deposits, the prehistoric population of the Drava Basin obtained most of their stone materials from “imports”. The only locally available and obtainable stone material was gravel transported by the river Drava. Suitable pebbles were used to make tools that could be used without significant reshaping, or were used in their natural form. Very few researchers have studied the subject, which is why the author has found it useful to publish the results of his observations to date.
