Abstract

A nagy folyók síkvidéki, ill. tárózók alatti középszakaszára jellemző finom frakciók (250-0,45 mikro m) dominálnak. Ezt a rendelkezésre álló táplálékforrást elsősorban a bentikus társulások zömét alkotó filtráló kagylók és a detrituszevő csigák, felemáslábú rákok, árvaszúnyogok fogyasztják. A késő őszre lecsökkent szervesanyag ellenére nagyságrendileg megnövekedett makrogerinctelen összegyedszám túlkínálatra utal. A folyam középszakaszán a feltöltődő és eróziós partszakaszok szervesanyagának és társulásainak mennyiségét, összetételét elsősorban a lokális környezet hidrodinamikai és velük szoros összefüggésben az aljzat tulajdonságai alakítják, a folt mozaikok diszkontinus hierarchiája érvényesül. A mintavételi helyek a mederanyag texturális tulajdonságai alapján elsősorban térbeli elkülönülést mutatnak, ugyanakkor a szervesanyagtartalom, fajösszetétel, ill. funkcionális táplálkozási csoportok esetében a partszakasz depozíciós vs eróziós jellege szabja meg a hasonlóságot. Az inváziós fajok előretörésével a táplálékhálózatok szerkezete jelentős mértékben átalakul, ami a Dunában a gébfajok és a szintén ponto-kaszpikus bolharákok kapcsolatában már jelentkezik. | Organic matter pool of the Hungarian Danube section available for the benthic communities and its changes in different temporal scales and seasons were quantified at first. The percentile benthic organic matter content decreases in depth and within the year. Fine organic matter (250-0,45 micro m), typical for the low reaches of large rivers or downstream sections of reservoirs, dominates. This availably food resource is mainly utilized by the dominant groups of communities (active filter-feeder mussels and detritus feeder gastropods, amphipods, chironomids). Although the amount of the total benthic organic matter decreases, the individual number of the macroinvertebrates enormously increases for late fall, probably due to the excess food. The local hydrodynamic and substrate features primarily regulate the quantity and composition of the benthic organic matter and communities of the depositive and erosive riparian zones at the middle section of a large river, according to the discontinuous hierarchy of hydrogeomorphic patches. Sampling sites spatially separate according to the substrate textural features, while the distribution of organic matter, species and functional feeding groups are governed by the depositive vs erosive character of the riparian zones. In consequence of the successive invasion the food web of the River Danube should significantly rearrange, which process appears in the present relationship of Ponto-Caspian amphipods and gobiid fishes.
