Abstract

A hároméves kutatási során két alapvető célt tűztem ki. Egyrészt dramatikus jellegű nyelvemlékeink forrásainak feltárását, irodalomtörténeti értékelését, másrészt a dramatikus prédikáció műfajtörténeti hátterének feltérképezését. Ennek megfelelően számos hazai vonatkozású latin és magyar szöveggel foglalkoztam. Először Szent Demeter ekkor előkerült középkori legendáját vizsgáltam, melyről az OTKA támogatásával egy monográfiát is megjelentettünk. Ezután nyelvemlékeink különböző, a drámai emlékek között számon tartott jelenetének, így Krisztus és Mária dialógusának, Krisztus próféta-látomásának stb. forrásait kutattam. Eredményeimet külföldi és hazai konferenciákon ismertettem, majd ezek anyagát a konferenciákhoz kapcsolódó kiadványokban (folyóiratok, tanulmánykötetek) tettem közzé. Fontos előrelépés a Königsbergi Töredék őrzőkódexének feltárása, s a szöveg ennek fényében történő újabb értelmezése, illetve néhány további kisebb nyelvemlék forrásainak, valamint újabb hazai eredetű latin szövegek azonosítása. Az elméleti kutatások egyik fontos eredménye a dramatikus prédikáció és az apokrif iratok alapvető funkcionális hasonlóságának felismerése, s az apokrif fogalmának ennek tükrében történő újragondolása volt. A kutatás ezen ágának eredményeit szintén különböző hazai és külföldi konferenciákon ismertettem, s e témában nemrégiben egy nagyobb angol nyelvű tanulmányt is készítettem, mellyel meghívást kaptam az apokrif-kutatók 2010-ben Strassbourgban tartandó konferenciájára. | My three-year research period had a twofold aim. At the one hand I explored the sources of some undidentified Old Hungarian dramatic texts, and wanted shed some light on the literary background of the genre of the dramatic sermons, at the other. I examined numerous Hungarian as well as Latin sources printed and manuscript as well. First I identified the Hungarian legend of the the martyr St Demetrius, which I dealt with in a separate monograph together with some colleagues. Later I scrutinized the sources of some Hungarian "dramatic" texts, such as the Prophets' Play, or the Farewell of Christ and the Virgin etc. The results of this research were presented as conference-papers and articles in journals or in the proceedings of the conferences in English as well a sin Hungarian. Another important achievment was the invention of the photo-documentation of the manuscript of the Königsberg Fragment and a re-examination of the text itself, and the literary examination of some other 16th century Hungarian texts. As for the literary background of the genre, my most important result was that I observed a close functional similarit óy between dramatic sermons and apocryphal writings, and a re-evaluation of the concept of apocrypha in the light thereof. I gave some lectures on this subject at different Hungarian and international conferences and I wrote an English article about it which gave me the possibility to take part in an important conference on the apocrypha in Strassbourg 2010.
