Abstract
The paper deals with the problem of the interpre netr ation of different types of art, the interference of visuality and verbality. It investigates the various representations of Unkrada’s figure by analyzing A. Remizov’s drama the “Tragedy of Judas Iscariot Prince”, N. Roerich’s picture titled “Unkrada”, and A. Remizov’s cycle the “Zherlitsa druzhynnaia”. The paper aims to show the typological parallelism between the artistic and spiritual quest of the writer and the painter.
