Abstract

A stabilizálószerek jelentősen különböznek egymástól. A kísérlet során alkalmazott modelltalajt a Gyöngyösorosziban található felhagyott színesfémérc bánya melletti Toka-patak öntésterületéről gyűjtöttük. | Stabilizing agents differ considerably. As they have rarely been examined in model experiments, very few data are available on their action mechanisms and real efficiency. A model experiment involving soil incubation was set up in 2007 in the Research Institute for Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. The chemical stabilizing agents applied, all of them cheap forms of waste and available in large quantities, were as follows: fly ash from the Tatabánya power station and iron-manganese precipitates originating from the water treatment plants in Csepel and Ráckeve. The model soil used in the experiment was collected from the flood-plain of the Toka stream, located in the neighbourhood of an abandoned non-ferrous metal mine near Gyöngyösoroszi. The model soil had the following chemical parameters: pH(H2O): 7.3; KA : 45; salt %: 0.06; humus %: 3.15; CaCO3 %: 1.27; AL-P2O5 : 301 mg/kg; AL-K2O: 393 mg/kg; total N %: 0.163; NH4-N: 1.65 mg/kg; NO3-N: 13.8 mg/kg. The stabilizing effect of the various types of wastes was evaluated by analyzing the distilled water, acetate buffer and Lakanen Erviö extractant of Zn, Pb, Cd, Cu, As and Ba. Fly ash had a good stabilizing effect on Cd, Cu, Pb and Zn, while not mobilizing As or Ba either. The analytical results indicated that precipitates obtained from water treatment plants stabilized Cd, Cu, Pb and Zn to a greater extent than fly ash, but had a high Ba content, and the highly concentrated mobile fraction of this element could reduce the applicability of this type of waste. It could be concluded from the present work that fly ash from Tatabánya was a more suitable stabilizing agent than the precipitates from Csepel and Ráckeve. Great caution must be taken, however, when applying fly ash, as the use of fly ash with an unsuitable composition (accumulation of toxic metals) or incorrect methods of application could increase the environmental contamination of the soil.
