Abstract
A korábban jellegzetesen női betegségként emlegetett anorexia nervosa egyre gyakrabban fordul elő férfiak között is. A tanulmány áttekinti a Peter Pan-szindrómának is nevezett férfi anorexia jellemzőit. A terápiás eredmény elérésében a családi hierarchiaviszonyok újrarendeződése fontos szerepet játszott. Ennek kezelése, a szeparáció-individuáció folyamatának erősítése a terápia lényeges célkitűzései közé tartozik. | Anorexia nervosa has been mentioned as a female syndrome so far. However, the number of male disorders is increasing. This study reviews the characteristics of the male anorexia, which is discussed as Peter Pan syndrome as well. Among its characteristics the phenomenon of postadolescence is one of the most important. So far in Hungary two studies have been published demonstrating the psychotherapy of male anorectic patients. The present study describes the 10-session long family therapy of a 19-year-old male patient who lives in a patchwork family. In reaching the therapeutic goals the reorganization of the hierarchy in the family was highly important. This therapeutic success highlights the importance of family therapy in the treatment of anorexia nervosa, which is corroborated by international data as well. Nowadays the role of postadolescence is getting more and more important among family dysfunctions. To treat this phenomenon, the enhancement of the process of separation-individuation is one of the most important goal of family therapy.
