Abstract

Az evészavarok tünettanának lényeges eleme a testkép megváltozása, a test észlelésének torzulása. Mivel a testkép kialakulását alapvetően vizuális tapasztalatokhoz kötik, valamint az evészavarok kialakulásában a médiumok által sugallt karcsúságideál szerepét szokták hangsúlyozni, korábban felmerült, hogy előfordul-e anorexia látássérültek, például veleszületetten vak személyek körében. Ezt követően közel tucatnyi olyan esettanulmány jelent meg, amely anorexiás vak nőkről számolt be. A jelen irodalmi áttekintés összefoglalja a vakok körében végzett testkép- és evészavar-kutatásokat, s felhívja a figyelmet a testkép vizualitáson túlmenő, komplex, multidimenzionális jellegére. | The change of the body image and the distortion of body perception are essential elements of the symptomatology of eating disorders. The development of the body image is related basically to visual experiences, and in the eating disorders the role of the slimness ideal maintained by the media is underlined. On the basis of these ideas it was a question whether anorexia nervosa appears among natural born blind people or not. There are about ten case reports in the literature dealing with anorectic blind persons. The present review summarizes the body image and eating disorder studies related to blind people, and stresses the importance of the complex, multidimensional character of the body image.
