Abstract

Tanulmányunkban az analógiás gondolkodás kutatási területének újabb fejleményeit vázoljuk fel a kérdéskörrel foglalkozó legutóbbi jelentősebb konferencián bemutatott munkák alapján (Szófia, 1998, július).A dolgozat első részében az analógiás problémamegoldás kérdésének fontosságát és kutatásának kialakulását vázoljuk fel, az első elképzelésektől az intelligenciatesztekben alkalmazott feladatokon át az első komputációs elméletek és hiányosságaik tárgyalásán keresztül.A második részben a pszichológia relevanciájú elméletek megfogalmazásának indítékait tárgyaljuk, kiemelve, hogy ezek az elméletek hogyan építettek a problémamegoldás elméleteinek alapfogalmaira, és ismertetve az elméletek közötti hasonlóságokat az analógiás gondolkodás alapfolyamatait illetően. A továbbiakban ezen elméletek komputációs modellezésének korlátozásait tárgyaljuk, majd az információ-feldolgozó rendszerek Marr-féle metaelméleti keretébe illesztve felvázoljuk egy ökológiailag releváns elmélet jellemzőit. Ezek után a jelenleg domináló két elméleti irányzat, a szintaktikus és a pragmatikus megközelítés jellemzőit mutatjuk be.A dolgozat harmadik részében a szófiai konferencián bemutatott legutóbbi kutatási eredményeket tárgyaljuk az előző elméleti keretek koncepciójában, majd újabb, integratív törekvéseket mutatunk be, amelyek modellezni próbálják az analógiás gondolkodás minden részfolyamatát, a metaelméleti keret minden szintjére jellemző korlátozásokkal együtt. Végül az analógiás gondolkodás ontogenetikai kialakulásával kapcsolatok kérdéseket és eredményeket, valamint ezeknek néhány pedagógiai jellegű implikációját tárgyaljuk.Our paper focuses on the development of analogy research and recent results in the field, relying on the papers presented at the last workshop dedicated to this question (Sofia, Bulgaria, July, 1998)First we discuss the role and importance of reasoning by analogies in our everyday life, as well as the first approximations of the questions, the first applications in intelligence tests, and some early computational theories and shortcomings of them.In the second part, we discuss the rationale for developing theories with psychological relevance, accentuating connections to the theories on problem solving in general, and the major points of agreement among researchers about the basic processes of analogical reasoning. Furthermore, we present some of the constraints for computational modeling of these theories, and discuss the particularities of an ecologically valid theory, as corresponding to Marr’s metatheory about cognitive processes. We present also the basic notions of the two dominating theories, the syntactic and the pragmatic approach.Third, we present the recent findings presented at the workshop in Sofia, as integrated in the conception of former theories. We also present some recent integrationist approaches, that is theories which try to model all of the subcomponents of analogical reasoning. Finally, we present questions and results about the ontological development of analogical reasoning and its pedagogical implications.
