Abstract
A HISTORY OF BME DEPARTMENT OF BUILDING CONSTRUCTIONS A history of how the Department of Building Constructions was established at the Technical University of Budapest. Starting at the point where architecture as an art was partnered with structural engineering as a discipline for the mathematical (analytical and geometrical), mechanical and chemical development of building structures. Dealing with changes in political influence, teaching methods and members of the professional teaching staff.
