Abstract
At what first appears to be a pile of fresh cut logs a wayside chapel has been raised at the edge of a forest clearing. A design which raises questions of emotions, transcendentalism, even propaganda or mysticism this log built chapel could be said to function on a less than sacrilegious level and more as a place to wonder at the beauty of nature, calm and peacefulness. A minimalist use of materials, technical solutions and spatial experimentation can be, as in this case, employed to create this type contemplative space.
