Abstract

In this paper the relationship between ground tilts and variations of meteorological and hydrological parameters in the area of the Sopron Mountains were investigated. It was pointed out that the daily and yearly changes of the tilt values are in close connection with different environmental factors (soil water content, temperature, wind under stormy weather and evapotranspiration) and trees play an important role in hindering the evolution of landslides.
