Abstract

A tanulmány az elmúlt öt évben az MTA Bölcsészettudományi Kutatóközpont Irodalomtudományi Intézetében végzett kutatás eredményeit összegzi. A francia- és törökországi száműzetésben 1716–1720 között latin nyelven írt Egy bűnös vallomása az európai önéletrajzi irodalom különleges darabja. Egyszerre történeti, eszmetörténeti forrás és személyes dokumentum. Szubjektivitása Jean-Jacques Rousseau és a 19. századi politikus-önéletrajzok és az önéletrajzi regény felé mutat. A dolgozat vizsgálja a műfaji sajátosságokat, Rákóczi „bűn”-koncepcióját, fikció és „valóság” viszonyát, az önábrázolás stratégiáit és az elbeszélésmódot. The paper sums up the results of a research project, carried out in the Institute for Literary Studies of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in the last five years. Written in French and Turkish exile between 1716 and 1720 in Latin, Confessio peccatoris had its genesis at an intersection of various cultures in European autobiography. It is a unique source for history and the history of thought, and a moving personal document. Its subjective quality belongs to literature before Samuel Richardson and Rousseau. The paper examines the genre, the concept of ‘sin’, the relation between fiction and ‘reality’, the strategies of self-portrayal, and the ways of narration.
