Abstract
The robber-fly fauna of Hungary has never been revised and published. The number of species of the robber-fly fauna is estimated at about 100-110. Eleven, mostly common Asilid species were captured in the southern part of the Somogy county. There are several sandy habitats fit for the robber-flies. Due to systematical surveying, the number of described species may rise above 80 in the couple of years.
