Abstract

Magyarországon mindmáig nem létezik kvalitatív szociológiai adatbázis. Az OTKA által támogatott pilot kutatás keretében ennek lehetőségeit tártuk fel. Vállalásunkat meghaladva 6 kutatási gyűjtemény (audio)vizuális anyagait archiváltuk és tettük kutathatóvá és 25 élet- és kutatástörténeti interjút készítettünk az interjús módszereket alkalmazó magyar szociológusokkal, mely szintén kutatható a projekt weboldalán. Esettanulmányok születtek a kvalitatív kutatás módszertanáról és a digitális kvalitatív archívumok európai helyzetéről. Letettük egy kutatói és donátori hálózat alapjait és kialakítottunk egy katasztert, mely a magyar szociológiai kutatások interjús nyersanyagait tartalmazza. A projekt második évében egy Európai Uniós pályázat segítségével két gyűjteményből felső- és középfokú oktatási anyagot készítettünk, mely mind DVD-n mind online elérhető a szélesebb közönség számára. A pilot kutatás bebizonyította, hogy 1) az előkerült anyagok nagyban gazdagítják a magyar társadalomról való tudást; 2) az archivált és digitalizált anyagok azonnal és sikerrel alkalmazhatók az oktatásban; 3) a kutatóknál található kvalitatív források és adatok begyűjtésében az utolsó percekben járunk és a munkát haladéktalanul folytatni kell 4) a digitalizáció roppant költség- és humánerőforrás-igényes feladat, eredményeinkhez nagyban hozzájárul, hogy sok önkéntes segítőnk, gyakornokunk volt a projekt idején, és a kutatást az Open Society Archive technikailag támogatta. | There is no qualitative sociology database in Hungary to this day. Within the framework of the pilot project funded by OTKA we aimed at mapping out the opportunities in establishing one. Exceeding our targets, we managed to archive as well as provide access to the (audio)visual materials of 6 research collections. Further we conducted career history interviews with 25 researchers using qualitative methods. These interviews are made researchable on our official webpage. We also published papers on qualitative research methodology and the situation of digital qualitative archives in Europe. All the more, we laid down the foundation of a network for researchers and donors and created a register for raw interview materials of Hungarian sociology researches. In the second half of the research, with the support of an EU project, we developed teaching materials for high school and university students from two of the collections. These materials are available both online and on DVD. The pilot research proved that 1) the discovered documents enrich our knowledge on the Hungarian society; 2) archived and digitized materials could successfully and immediately be used in education; 3) the process of collecting qualitative documents and data shall be continued; 4) since digitalization is money-consuming and requires human resources, we had volunteers and trainees throughout the project as well as the technical back-up was provided by the Open Society Archive.
