Abstract

Két nagy, kiadatlan kéziratos orvostörténeti szakanyagot dolgoztunk fel és rendeztünk sajtó alá. Az egyik anyag szerzője Fekete Lajos doktor, összeállítása 1872-ben íródott ""Magyar orvosi történettan"" címmel. A kéziratból két variáns maradt fenn, az egyiket az OSZK, a másikat a Semmelweis Orvostörténeti Múzeum, Könyvtár és Levéltár őrzi. A másik kézirat szerzője Kovách Imre doktor, összeállítása 1881-ben íródott „Az orvostudomány története Magyarországon” címmel. Ezt a kéziratot az utóbb említett Levéltár őrzi. A kutatás a két hatalmas kézirat teljes szerkesztésére, magyarázó jegyzeteinek elkészítésére, a bibliográfiák egységesítésére és a művek sajtó alá rendezésére irányult. Az ehhez a kézirathoz tartozó nagy adatbázisokat igyekeztünk önálló egységekként megszerkeszteni, így a kötetben minden egyes korszakhoz kronológiai rész tartozik, benne nagyszámú, elsőfokú szakirodalmi forrással, s külön egységet alkot a szélsőséges időjárási események okozta éhínségek, valamint a magyar járványtörténet tömör kronológiája. Mindkét anyagot időben elkészítettük és nyomdába adtuk. A második anyag egyik nagy adatbázis-mellékletét viszont (terjedelmi okok miatt) nem adtuk nyomdába, hanem azt egy önálló, az interneten ingyenesen hozzáférhető adatbázis formájában készítettük el „Régi orvosdoktori és gyógyszerészi disszertációk 1729-1849” címmel. Ebben az anyagban több mint 500 disszertáció teljes szövegét helyeztük el. | We have processed and redacted two large, unpublished manuscripts, both are from the field of the history of medicine. One was written in 1872 by Lajos Fekete PhD and titled ‘Hungarian academic medical history’. The manuscript has survived in two variants, one of them is preserved by OSZK and the other is at the Semmelweis Museum, Library and Archives of the History of Medicine. The second manuscript was written in 1881 by Imre Kovách PhD and titled ‘The history of Medicine in Hungary’. This manuscript is held at the latter mentioned Archives. We focused our research on editing and redacting the two large manuscripts, preparing the explanatory notes and standardizing the bibliographies. We constructed the large databases for this manuscript as separate units. Each era of the volume has a chronological section including a large number of first-degree bibliographic sources. The chronology of famines caused by extreme weather events and the chronology of Hungarian epidemics can be found in separate units. Both materials were prepared and sent to press in time. Due to its size an annex for the second manuscript wasn’t sent to press but published as an independent, freely available database on the internet instead, titled as ‘Old medicinal and pharmaceutical dissertations 1729–1849’. The full text of over 500 dissertations was uploaded to this database.
