Abstract
On the rare occasion that a client calls for a project that seems to have no limits in terms of form, location, regulation,where ideas come easily, we find the ideal student architect's dream. In reality this project, a cave like manifestation cut into the side of a hill facing the Aegean Sea faces every constraint imaginable, form must follow the landscape, materials must be local and only one side can be viewed as having a facade. Interior courtyards link spaces, functions and seaward views. Is this an ideal project, a place to visit whilst taking a break from work, a sublime cave or something else?
