Abstract
Architecture does not need to be controversial in order to impress, sometimes following the lay of the land and the flow of a stream informs better solutions. Reworking the traditional porch of rural Hungarian homes to create a semi-private zone establishes the ideal arrangement for a busy family home. Unlike many contemporary homes in Hungary this project succeeds in making maximum use of its garden, not compromising to overdeveloping spaces such as a garage, here the occupant is considered above their belongings to create a sense of wellbeing.
