Abstract

Latin-Amerikában – a szubkontinens sajátos történelmi helyzete miatt – a terrorizmus ott kialakult formája többfajta ideológiai bázisra is támaszkodik. Egyszerre van benne a spanyol korona ellen vívott függetlenségi harcok hagyománya, az amerikai dominancia és hegemonizmus elleni ellenszenv, a marxista–leninista behatolási kísérletek elutasítása és az ezekre adott sajátos, populista válasz. A szubkontinens társadalmi tudatának formálásában és formálódásában minden korban rendkívüli jelentősége van a Római Katolikus és Apostoli Anyaszentegyháznak | Due to the specific historic situation of Latin America, the terrorism formed and emerged there has different ideological grounds. One can find the traces of the anticolonial wars for independence against Spain, the antipathy to the American hegemony and dominance, the refusal of the Marxist and Leninist attempts to penetrate onto the subcontinent and the specific populist reactions to all these views. The Roman Catholic and Apostolic Church has always an important role in the formation of the social conscience of Latin America
