Abstract
In 2005 dragonfly larvae were collected at 306 sites in Hungary. 48 dragonfly species belonging 9 families were identified (2 Calopterygidae, 5 Lestidae, 1 Platycnemididae, 10 Coenagrionidae, 8 Aeshnidae, 4 Gomphidae, 1 Cordulegasteridae, 4 Cordulidae, 13 Libellulidae). From the 48 identified species 1 comes from the very frequent, 15 from the frequent, 15 from the less frequent, 7 from the rare and 10 from the sporadic class of country-wide occurence frequency. The larval data for the following sporadic species are the most important faunistical results: Coenagrion scitulum, Aeshna viridis, Cordulegaster heros, Leucorrhinia caudalis and L. pectoralis.
