Abstract
A new discussion on the knowledge of the Orthoptera fauna of the Kisalföld, NW Hungary, is presented, including a monographic approach of published and unpublished data, current checklist and known local ranges. The 78 enlisted species represents 63 percent of the Hungarian fauna, in spite of the very low proportion of natural and semi-natural habitats in the local landscape.
