Abstract
NEW SPORTS CENTRE, ST. IMRE CISTERCIAN HIGH SCHOOL, BUDAPEST, HUNGARY; ARCHITECTS: ALFRÉD PESCHKA and BERTALAN NEMES The need to develop a new sports facility without impacting the existing neo-baroque school resulted in the decision to construct a neutral, yet decorated, new building linked by a glazed bridge. This decoration gives the new building an identity for those who observe the exterior which reflects the intended use and Christian values. Within these walls maximum use of space is provided for sporting activities offsetting the decorative style of the existing against the puritan needs of a sports hall.
