Abstract
During 2008 and 2009 we excavated 9 early new age burials near Kaposvár. According to the find material and the burial practices the cemetery can be connected to inhabitants arriving from the Balkans during the Turkish era. A strange peculiarity was a young woman placed in sitting position into the grave with an iron horseshoe under her legs.
