Abstract

A kutatás a gyermekkorban kialakuló fénytörési hibák korai felismerésének fontosságát taglalja. Célja felhívni a kisgyermeket nevelő szülők figyelmét a betegoktatók munkájának jelentőségére, kiemelten a gyermekek látásromlásának csökkentése tekintetében. Mindezek mellett a szakirodalom bemutatásával, a páciensek szempontjából is lényeges ismeretanyag összefoglalásával a betegoktatásban részt vevő szakemberek munkájának segítése. A kérdőíves adatfelvétel óvodás- és iskoláskorú gyermeket nevelő szülők körében történt (n = 89). A megkérdezett szülők több mint negyede nem ismeri a gyermeke fénytörési hibájának jellemzőit. Sok esetben sajnos nincs elég idő a megfelelő tájékoztatásra a látásvizsgálat során. Elenyésző azoknak a szülőknek a száma is, akik megfelelő felvilágosítást kaptak az amblyopia kialakulásáról. A kutatás eredményei arra engednek következtetni, hogy szükség lenne a betegoktató munkájára ezen a területen, már akár bölcsődében, óvodában preventív jelleggel szülői tájékoztató előadás formájában. The research discusses the importance of early detection of refractive errors in childhood. Its purpose is to draw the attention of parents raising young children to the importance of the work of patient educators, especially in terms of reducing visual impairment in children. In addition to all of this, by presenting the literature and summarizing information that is also important from the patients’ point of view, helping the work of the professionals involved in patient education. The questionnaire was collected among parents of preschool and school-aged children (n = 89). More than a quarter of the parents interviewed do not know the characteristics of their child’s refractive error. In many cases, unfortunately, there is not enough time for adequate information during the vision examination. The number of parents who received adequate information about the development of amblyopia is also negligible. The results of the research allow us to conclude that there is a need for the work of the patient educator in this area, even in nursery schools and kindergartens in the form of a preventive presentation for parents.
