Abstract
CSOKONAI NATIONAL THEATRE, DEBRECEN, HUNGARY; ARCHITECTS: PÉTER KOVÁCS and ANDRÁS TISZA Theatre buildings are often viewed as rigid and inflexible in form and function, where the only potential change occurs onstage and behind the scenes, although a theatre restoration becomes a spatial patchwork that ensures depth, a valuable emptiness, that becomes a spatial symbol of possibilities. A kind of design singularity that encompasses the historical and modernism.
