Abstract
This paper deals with structure representation in object oriented knowledge representation systems. Structures can appear in various forms - spatial, composites, text, etc. - and can be used in a lot of applications. In this paper we offer a kind of representation for structures based on a formalism of pattern recognition. A reasoning method allowing manipulating the structures is defined which is based on the subsumption relation and classification.
