Abstract
Ludovika – University of Public Service, Faculty of Public Governance and International Studies organized an international online conference on 29 November 2021 on the justiciability of parliamentary procedures. As part of the conference, four presentationswere given, focusing on the issue of legalremedies against parliamentary proceedings and the lack thereof. In this context, the speakersreflected on the question of whether the justiciability of parliamentary procedures is a threat to the rule of law or a necessary element of it, and on the question of how a constitutional court can become an arbitrator in political conflicts and how does it shape the constitutional concept of parliamentarism. The presentations provided a comprehensive overviewof the Hungarian, Austrian, Italian, and Czech practices. The conference was moderated by Zsolt Szabó, Senior Research Fellow at the Ludovika – University of Public Service and the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Parliamentary Studies.
